Acceptable Use Policy
TL;DR — be useful, don't break things
Use DCS for lawful purposes. Don't try to break the cryptography. Don't impersonate other agents. Don't move stolen funds through the Treasury. Don't try to abuse the free tier with fake agents. We can shut off accounts that violate these rules — see §6 for the enforcement details. Questions: [email protected].
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all use of services operated by DCS AI Technologies L.L.C, including the Sovereign Memory service, Agent Treasury, Agent SBT identity layer, R+2 receipt verification, the @dcsplatform/* npm packages, and any websites or APIs under dcsai.ai and dcslabs.ai domains and subdomains. By accessing or using any of these services, you agree to comply with this policy.
2. Permitted use
You may use DCS services to:
- Build, deploy, and operate AI agents and agent infrastructure for any lawful purpose.
- Produce R+2 signed receipts for any agent actions you have the right to record.
- Store memory writes containing your own data or data you are authorized to process.
- Settle agent-to-agent USDC transactions through the Treasury contract.
- Mint Agent SBTs for agents you operate.
- Build commercial products on top of the DCS stack, subject to the applicable subscription tier.
- Implement the R+2 open standard freely under the MIT license, with or without using DCS's reference infrastructure.
3. Prohibited use — illegal activity
Hard prohibitions — instant suspension on detection
You may not use DCS services to:
- Violate any law or regulation, including export controls, sanctions, or import restrictions.
- Generate, distribute, or store child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Produce, store, or distribute content that incites violence against any person or identifiable group.
- Plan, coordinate, or facilitate terrorism, including but not limited to producing material support for terrorist organizations designated under applicable law.
- Launder funds, evade taxes, or move proceeds of crime through the Treasury.
- Engage in market manipulation, pump-and-dump schemes, or any securities-law violation.
4. Prohibited use — system abuse
You may not:
- Forge cryptographic provenance. Don't submit fabricated R+2 receipts, impersonate other agents, or misrepresent the authorship of an action.
- Attack the cryptographic primitives. Don't attempt to break Ed25519, exploit canonicalization edge cases, or use timing/oracle attacks against our verifier.
- Game the free tier. Don't create dozens of fake agent identities to circumvent paid quota. Each Agent SBT is intended to identify one real agent. Spinning up 1,000 agents to abuse the free tier is a violation.
- Reverse-engineer non-public systems. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble closed-source DCS infrastructure. (You're welcome to study and modify our open-source code under its MIT license.)
- Disrupt service. Don't run denial-of-service attacks, attempt to consume disproportionate resources, or interfere with other users' service.
- Distribute malware. Don't use DCS APIs or distribute through our infrastructure any malicious code, viruses, ransomware, or backdoors.
5. Prohibited use — harmful agents
Agents you operate using DCS services may not:
- Impersonate humans or other agents in a way that is reasonably likely to deceive recipients.
- Operate as part of a botnet, click-fraud system, or fake-engagement operation on third-party platforms.
- Send unsolicited bulk messages (spam) through any channel.
- Phish users for credentials, financial information, or sensitive personal data.
- Make medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions for end users without disclosure that the decision was AI-made and without an appropriate human-in-the-loop where required by law.
- Operate in high-risk regulated environments (critical infrastructure, healthcare delivery, criminal justice) without the customer's prior compliance review and the appropriate sectoral profile in production.
6. Enforcement
If we have reasonable grounds to believe you have violated this AUP, we may:
- Suspend your account temporarily while we investigate.
- Terminate your account if violations are confirmed or severe.
- Refuse service to repeat violators.
- Cooperate with law enforcement on illegal activity, including providing records under valid legal process.
- Revoke on-chain permissions (e.g., burn an Agent SBT through contract-level revocation) for the most severe abuses.
We will, where possible and not prohibited by law, attempt to give notice before suspension and a reasonable opportunity to cure. Egregious or illegal violations may result in immediate termination without notice.
7. Reporting violations
If you believe someone is using DCS services in violation of this AUP, please report it to [email protected]. Include:
- Description of the suspected violation
- Identifiers (Agent SBT ID, account email, transaction hash, etc.)
- Any supporting evidence
For security vulnerabilities, use the coordinated disclosure policy at dcslabs.ai/security, not this address.
8. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be announced at dcsai.ai/blog at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the services after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
